What services do you offer faculty members?
So, you got your Ph.D. Perhaps you are teaching at a college, university, or
working in a research institute. Perhaps you are in the process of
applying for a research grant and you need help with the statistical analysis. You've come to a realization. There's nobody
to consult with regarding research design and data analysis. You have to
get grants and publish to keep your job but the administration provides little
or no support for research design and data analysis. Then you realize
that the companies who sell the standard statistical software (SPSS, SAS, etc.)
update their products every year or so. You end up spending way too much
time learning how to use a statistics program rather than focusing on your
research. Don't worry, the statistics program will be obsolete soon. When you
finally get the computer to work, you end up with 400 pages of output and an
awful feeling that somehow none of it is meaningful. We really don't want you
to jump off the roof. Come back from the ledge.
We can help you. We have done data analysis in many academic disciplines
(education, biology, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, medical and clinical
trials, etc.) using a wide
variety of statistical methods. If you are applying for a grant, we can make recommendations about how to design
your research (we can provide you with references, if you desire). We
provide fast, efficient, thorough explanations of the output and APA style
editing of "Results" sections.
Keep us in mind if you have graduate students who are in the planning stages of
their research. We can work together to design an effective study.
